Terrace Counseling - Teens
Brian Warren, LMFTA
It seems like many of the things affecting teenagers today are issues that did not affect previous generations. Things like cutting and social networking websites are things that our parents didn't have to worry about. To make things worse, the old problems like drug-use, unprotected sex, and bullying haven't gone away.
If you are worried about your teen and are unsure what you can do to help them, please give me a call. I have worked with a number of families to help increase understanding and reduce problem behaviors.
Some of the things I focus on for teen counseling include:
- Self-harm
- Mood shifts/swings
- Self-esteem
- Self-confidence
- Friend issues
- Goal setting
- Life directions
- Problem behavior
- Early relationship problems
- Anger or violence
- Isolating from friends and family
- School or work challenges
- Achievement issues
